Tastykake is sponsoring the car of NASCAR driver, David Gilliland. This is a corporate deal I can get behind! The press release (“Gilliland Looks to Run Tastykake Ford to the Front”) contains amazing PR-speak, too:“Tastykake is now available to more people than ever before - and as it says on the No. 34 Ford, ‘one taste and you’ll get it,’” said Tastykake spokesperson Brent Bradshaw. “It’ll be a thrill to see this iconic brand make its turns around the track with Gilliland at the wheel. Everyone attending the race should watch for the Tastykake truck that will be giving out free samples outside of the speedway.”

He’s right. It will be a thrill to see this iconic brand go around the track. Gilliland was so excited he even chimed in:“It’s great to have Tastykake on the car for Charlotte. I’m excited to see the new colors. I saw a rendering of it and the car looks really good.”

I agree! I don’t watch NASCAR enough to know who to root for, but now I have a favorite driver. Hopefully I can see David Gilliland win a race one day.
