“ The result is a noticeable segregation within the mall. A baggy-pants, faux-gangsta (or perhaps real-gangsta) look predominates in the Penney wing — the McDonald’s even has a filthy bathroom with graffiti tags burned into the ceiling with matches; while staunch Banana Republicans stroll the aisles near Macy’s.
