Joel Stein is my hero, apparently
There will be new sections reminiscent of older versions of Time (the front of the book, now called “Notebook,” will be rechristened “Briefing”) and a slew of new columns in what Stengel calls a “branded expertise mall,” including Joel Stein—“a god to people in their twenties and thirties,” says Stengel—on food and Samantha Power on foreign affairs.
Doree points to this quote about Joel Stein from a New York piece. What always gets me is how people compare Stein to Dave Barry. Stein’s almost 37. By that age Dave Barry had already written, like, three books. Does Stein even have a blog? (Rhetorical. I don’t want to read it.)
All together now: At least Stein is less annoying than Chuck Klosterman.
